  1. Setback in vacant rooms

    When a room is unoccupied between bookings, the air-conditioner drops to an energy-saving setback temperature instead of holding comfort for no one. This is the single largest source of saving.

    Reed switches detect an open door or balcony slider and pause the compressor, so it stops trying to cool or heat the outdoors — waste that otherwise runs unnoticed until the bill.

    The room steps back to comfort about 15 minutes before check-in, driven by your PMS — so guests never feel the setback, and you never pay to hold comfort overnight in an empty room.
